WASHINGTON, DC - Next week, members of the Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH), will host a Showcase to explore the possibilities of the latest technology wave called the Internet of Things (IOT). “IOT" refers to the growing network of connected objects that are able to collect and exchange data using sensors. Throughout the last decade, we have seen how transformative this technology has been in the U.S. economy as Americans have steadily begun using Internet-connected devices to improve convenience, increase efficiency, and boost productivity.

To demonstrate the benefits of IOT, and further understand its application in the business sector, #SubDCCP members have invited companies from their districts to display their products and services and discuss how adoption of this this cutting-edge technology is changing the way they do business.

The event kicks off next Tuesday, June 13th, at 9 a.m. in the Rayburn Foyer. Tune into Facebook Live to check out the event in action.
