#SubEnergy Powering America Hearing Rescheduled as Two-Part Hearing

WASHINGTON, DC - The Subcommittee on Energy, chaired by Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI), today announced that the previously scheduled hearing entitled, “Powering America: Defining Reliability in a Transforming Electricity Industry," has been rescheduled into TWO parts.

Part one of the hearing will feature one panel of witnesses and has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at 10 a.m. in 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The second panel of witnesses are expected to testify later this month.

The following witnesses will testify on Thursday, September 14:

* Neil Chatterjee, Chairman, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission;

* Patricia Hoffman, Acting Under Secretary for Science, Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Electricity, Department of Energy; and,

* Gerry Cauley, President and CEO, North American Electric Reliability Corporation.
