Missing Hiker in Sequoia National Park Located

News Release: SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS, Calif. Sept. 30, 2017 - Missing hiker Edward “Hall" Newbegin has been located in Sequoia National Park. The parks’ helicopter spotted Mr. Newbegin hiking towards Mineral King on the Franklin Lakes Trail, approximately 2.5 miles east of the trailhead. Park rangers made contact with Mr. Newbegin, confirmed that he was uninjured, and provided an escort out of the wilderness to reunite with his family.
