WASHINGTON, DC - The Health Subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), formally announced a markup for Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 1 p.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
#SubHealth will vote on more than 60 individual bills as part of the committee’s ongoing efforts to combat the opioid crisis. #SubHealth will also consider an additional bill to reauthorize the Animal Drug User Fee Act (ADUFA) and the Animal Generic Drug User Fee Act).
“This week, we’ll continue our work to advance meaningful solutions to help combat this deadly epidemic," said #SubHealth Chairman Burgess. “On the docket are dozens of bills to address various facets of the opioid crisis - spanning everything from coverage and payment issues to the approvals of new, non-addictive pain medications. We’ll also review bipartisan legislation to reauthorize the Animal Drug User Fee Act and the Animal Generic Drug User Fee Act."
