WASHINGTON, DC - Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Greg Walden (R-OR), Communications and Technology Subcommittee Republican Leader Bob Latta (R-OH), and Consumer Protection and Commerce Republican Leader Cathy McMorris-Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement after 47 Democrats - led by Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and Scott Peters (D-CA) - signed a letter to Democratic leadership looking to form a bipartisan working group to solve net neutrality.

“We have long said that a permanent, bipartisan legislative solution produced in good faith with our Democratic colleagues is the only way to protect consumers, innovation, and an open internet. We welcome our colleagues’ engagement, and hope that a bipartisan working group can be a successful incubator for true bipartisan net neutrality legislation," Walden, Latta, and Rodgers said.
