Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee to Hold Hearing with Bipartisan Group of Former EPA Administrators

Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee Chair Diana DeGette (D-CO) announced today that the Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee will hold a hearing on Tuesday, June 11, at 10 am in the John D. Dingell Room, 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing will examine the mission and future of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a bipartisan group of former EPA Administrators: Lee Thomas (1985-1989), William Reilly (1989-1993), Christine Todd Whitman (2001-2003) and Gina McCarthy (2013-2017). The hearing is entitled, “Critical Mission: Former Administrators Address the Direction of the EPA."

Last month, Pallone and DeGette announced that this hearing would take place on June 11.
