Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Energy Subcommittee Chairman Bobby Rush (D-IL) announced today that the Energy Subcommittee will hold a hearing on Wednesday, June 12, at 10:30 am in 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) commissioners. The hearing is entitled, “Oversight of FERC: Ensuring Its Actions Benefit Consumers and the Environment."
“FERC is a relatively small agency with an enormous impact on our nation’s energy and environmental future. FERC’s work directly impacts not only energy policy and prices, but also climate change, consumer protection and the disposition of private lands," said Pallone and Rush. “We look forward to discussing these issues with the commissioners and hearing their plan for addressing the growing challenges in the energy sector."
Information for this hearing, including the Committee Memorandum, witness list, testimony and a live webcast will be posted HERE as they become available.
