Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced today that the full Committee will hold a fully remote hearing on infrastructure legislation on Monday, March 22, at 11 a.m. (EDT) on the critical need to invest in our nation’s infrastructure and on the Leading Infrastructure For Tomorrow’s America Act, or the LIFT America Act, which was introduced last week. The hearing is entitled, “LIFT America: Revitalizing our Nation’s Infrastructure and Economy."
“As the Committee begins its work to advance a transformative infrastructure package, we will hold a hearing next week on the LIFT America Act, which will serve as the blueprint for our action moving forward," Pallone said. “The LIFT America Act will help build back a better economy by investing in clean and efficient energy, safe drinking water, expanded access to broadband, and improving our nation’s health care infrastructure. I’m hopeful that this legislative framework will provide us an opportunity to work together in a bipartisan fashion to deliver an infrastructure package that will revitalize our economy and communities."
This hearing will be conducted remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
