42,950 Pounds Of Prescription Drugs Collected During Take-Back Event

PHILADELPHIA - Special Agent-in-Charge Gary Tuggle of DEA’s Philadelphia Field Division announced today that 42,950.43 pounds of prescription drugs were collected across Pennsylvania and Delaware by DEA and its partner agencies during the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day event this past Saturday, April 29th.

A specific breakdown of amounts collected by regions across Pennsylvania, where a total of 37,739.63 pounds was collected, and Delaware, where a total of 5,210.80 pounds was collected, is listed below:

Allentown, PA: 1,248.50 lbs.

Dover, DE: 2,554.60 lbs.

Harrisburg, PA: 4,675.00 lbs.

Philadelphia, PA: 19,686.55 lbs.

Pittsburgh, PA: 10,717.00 lbs.

Scranton, PA: 1.412.58 lbs.

Wilmington, DE: 2,656.20 lbs.

Amounts collected by the counties across the Philadelphia region that is totaled above are listed as follows:

Bucks County: 9,892.66 lbs.

Chester County: 1,280.00 lbs.

Delaware County: 410.00 lbs.

Montgomery County: 7,204.39 lbs.

Philadelphia County: 899.50 lbs.
