ST. LOUIS - U.S. District Court Judge Stephen R. Clark sentenced Corey Clark to 50 months in prison on Wednesday. The 52-year-old St. Louis resident pleaded guilty in March to one count of possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

In January 2020, Carter made four separate sales of fentanyl to an individual during the course of an undercover police operation. Carter was arrested on Jan. 28, 2020, as a result of his illegal drug sales.

At the time of Carter’s arrest, Carter was in possession of approximately 20 grams of fentanyl. Law enforcement also recovered a loaded firearm from Carter’s vehicle. Prior to Jan. 28, 2020, Carter was convicted of at least one felony crime.

The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated this case.
