CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today released the following statement after reports indicated that the ceasefire agreement in war-torn Syria between the U.S. and Russia has collapsed.

“I am saddened for the people of Syria who are being murdered by barrel bombs, chemical weapons, and other munitions, and are being tortured and deprived of basic necessities," said Corker. “This was always to be the outcome of negotiations since Russia has known all along that there was nothing to back up empty words from the United States."
