WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today released the following statement on the buildup of Russian troops and military equipment on the Ukrainian border:

“I am increasingly concerned by news reports of Russian movements on Ukraine’s border. The Biden Administration should consult with Congress on how it plans to provide Ukraine the timely support it needs to deter Russian aggression. Our allies and partners should also lift any restrictions on arms transfers to Ukraine and transfer capabilities to enable Ukraine to defend itself."
