Rep. John Kline (R-MN), the top Republican on the U.S. House Education and Labor Committee, testified before the House Committee on Rules today to highlight the bureaucratic maze created by Speaker Pelosi’s government takeover of health care. Citing a series of specific new powers and authorities granted to the Health Choices Commissioner created by congressional Democrats, Kline identified the existence of a new "super-bureaucrat" armed with unprecedented ability to control vital health care decisions.
"We have created a super-bureaucrat here who can define, deny, deem, determine, assess, establish, and administer. This is an enormously powerful individual that we’re creating in statute here. It’s no wonder Americans are worried about a government takeover. How can they not be?"
