Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) released the following statement after the Biden administration told Arizona officials that it would take back pandemic aid unless Governor Doug Ducey bows to the Biden administration’s diktats on masks in schools:
“Unfortunately, federal money always comes with strings attached but, in this case, adding more strings after the money has already been allocated is a new low. Using COVID-19 relief aid to force states to bow to the Biden administration’s ever changing convoluted public health guidelines is a massive power grab. Clearly the Biden administration’s acts of intimidation are about politics, not public health. Stooping to blackmail is a new low."
