Hunter Hearing to Examine Coast Guard & Other Agency Budgets

Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Chairman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) will hold a hearing on Tuesday to review the President’s budget requests for the U.S. Coast Guard, the Maritime Administration, and the Federal Maritime Commission.

The subcommittee hearing, entitled “The President’s Fiscal Year 2014 Budget Request for Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Programs," is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.

Witnesses invited to testify at the hearing:

* Admiral Robert Papp, Commandant, United States Coast Guard

* Master Chief Michael Leavitt, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, United States Coast Guard

* The Honorable David Matsuda, Administrator, Maritime Administration

* The Honorable Mario Cordero, Chairman, Federal Maritime Commission
