BUFFALO, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Darryl Bagby, 32, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with being a felon in possession of ammunition.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brendan T. Cullinane, who is handling the case, stated that according to the complaint, on Nov. 25, 2015, the Erie County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at the defendant’s residence at 116 Bidwell Parkway in Buffalo. Deputies recovered one round of 7.62 X 39 caliber ammunition and one round of 9mm caliber ammunition, more than $19,000 of cash in United States currency, cocaine, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia. Further investigation determined that some of the ammunition was manufactured in Russia.

The complaint is the culmination of an investigation by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department, under the direction of Timothy Howard and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Delano A. Reid, New York Field Division.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. #
