Cuyahoga Valley National Park to conduct emergency riverbank stabilization along railroad tracks

Due to significant erosion from the Cuyahoga River, an emergency riverbank stabilization is necessary in Brecksville near the Columbia Run picnic area. Out of an abundance of caution, the National Park Service and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad have determined that train operations will be modified to avoid the area until the repairs are complete.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad excursions are available with an updated schedule. Visit cvsr.org for details.

The river is a dynamic system, and it is constantly changing.  Cuyahoga Valley National Park is committed to continually assessing track conditions, especially near the river, and maintaining the tracks for safe train operations.

Further schedule modifications or cancellations may be necessary.
