Washington, D.C. - Senate Energy & Natural Resources Chairman Pete V. Domenici today praised the President’s choice of Joseph Kelliher to be chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Chairman Domenici’s statement:

“I think the President has made an excellent choice. Joe Kelliher is knowledgeable and judicious. He has a thorough understanding of utility law. He appreciates the complexity and diversity of regional electricity markets. He has already drawn on his past Hill experience to develop a strong working relationship with Congress. I"m sure that will continue and look forward to his tenure as Chairman."
