Cincinnati, OH - U.S. Marshal Pete Tobin is pleased to announce that during the afternoon hours of February 6, 2019, the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Edwin R. Murry Jr. on an outstanding warrant from the Cleveland Police Department for Murder.
Murry allegedly assaulted a male victim in Cleveland, OH on September 4, 2017, with a firearm.
Cleveland Police Department investigators filed an arrest warrant for Murry. The U.S. Marshals in Cleveland, Ohio developed information Murry was in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and contacted the U.S. Marshals (SOFAST) in Cincinnati. The U.S. Marshals SOFAST quickly located Murry in a residence near the 5000 block of Newfield Ave.
Murry is currently in custody at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and will soon be extradited back to Cleveland.
