Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a fugitive wanted by the Winooski Police Department. Trent Beayon, 18, of Burlington, was wanted by the Winooski Police Department for Assault with a deadly weapon and Burglary that took place in December 2018. Beayon allegedly brandished a Taser and held the victims at bay while an accomplice rummaged around the apartment. The Winooski Police Department sought the help of the U.S. Marshals Service due to the seriousness of the incident and the fact that Beayon was a dangerous fugitive. The two victims sustained minor injuries during the incident.
U.S. Marshals quickly gathered intelligence on Beayon’s whereabouts and started working on the fugitive investigation early this week. It was believed that Beayon was actively evading arrest from law enforcement but remained in the Chittenden County area. Beayon was arrested on Thursday Feb. 14, 2019 at a location in Burlington without incident by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Any further inquiries regarding this matter should be directed to the Winooski Police Department.
