Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals Service, Vermont Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF), in conjunction with their office in Easton Pennsylvania, arrested a fugitive wanted by the Vermont Department of Corrections for Escape from Furlough.
Ryan Mohr, 34, was wanted by the Vermont Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole, Hartford Division on an arrested warrant charging him with Escape from Furlough, after Mohr walked away from a halfway house in February 2018.
On March 14, 2019 the Vermont Department of Corrections sought the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service in locating and arresting Mohr, as his whereabouts were unknown since he fled over a year ago.
Mohr is no stranger to the criminal justice system and has a criminal history that spans PA, NY, CT and VT. Mohr is a convicted felon with a lengthy criminal history, to include criminal charges for Criminal Homicide, Reckless Endangering, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Heroin, Heroin Trafficking and a Parole Violation.

During the fugitive investigation, investigators tracked Mohr to the Easton, PA region and on March 28, 2019, Mohr was taken into custody by Deputy U.S. Marshals when found hiding in an attic of a residence.
Mohr’s arrest ends a 13 month flight from justice.
