Concord, NH - Today, “Fugitive of the Week," Michael Ferullo, 38, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop in Springfield, VT. Ferullo was wanted on an outstanding Sullivan County arrest warrant for probation violations, stemming from an original conviction and sentence for sales of cocaine.
Mr. Ferullo was featured as the “Fugitive of the Week" on April 3rd. This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, the Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week" has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week" is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
Ferullo was encountered today by officers from the Springfield (VT) Police Department during a motor vehicle stop in which another person was driving the car. During this traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was arrested on outstanding arrest warrants. At that time, Ferullo was checked for warrants and it was discovered that he also had outstanding Vermont warrants for robbery, theft and possession of a controlled substance in addition to his Sullivan County (NH) warrant for probation violations. Ferullo was arrested on all of the warrants and brought to the Windsor County Criminal Court, where he was ordered held on $15,000.00 bail. Mr. Ferullo is currently being detained at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield until his Vermont cases are cleared up and then he will be returned to Sullivan County, New Hampshire on his probation violations.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 7,475 arrests (Updated as of 12/10/2018). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
