Harrisburg, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Khalic Cross - a 25-year old York man.
On Jan. 10, 2019, the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole obtained an arrest warrant charging Cross with absconding from his parole supervision. He was serving a term of parole for Fleeing and Eluding Police Officer. On July 14, 2019, the York City Police Department obtained an arrest warrant charging Cross with Aggravated Assault, Possession of Firearm Prohibited, 150 counts of Recklessly Endangerment, and lesser included offenses - after it was alleged that he fired into a crowd at a York block party.
Attempts to find Cross in York were unsuccessful and the U. S. Marshals Service (USMS) was asked to apprehend Cross. Investigators pursued lead in York, Hanover, Harrisburg and Reading, Pennsylvania; Staten Island, Queens and Brooklyn, New York; North Carolina; and, Virginia.
Today at about 3:30 p.m., the fugitive investigation led task force members to a home in the 100 block of North Tenth Street, Suffolk, Virginia - where Cross was taken into custody without incident by the Suffolk Police Department tactical team. He was incarcerated at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail to await extradition to Pennsylvania.

Pane stated, “The coordination and cooperation demonstrated by law enforcement in this case led to an extremely dangerous and unpredictable fugitive being taken off the streets. It is our top priority to arrest violent fugitives, especially those who have no regard for human life."
The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including: the Pennsylvania State Police; the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; the York City Police Department; the York County Sheriff’s Department; the York County District Attorney’s Office; the Northern York County Regional Police Department; the Spring Garden Township Police Department; and, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police - all of whom participated in this investigation.
