2013 Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Burlington, VT - In the early morning hours of Aug. 22, 2019, the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Christopher Hornbeck. Hornbeck was wanted by the State of Vermont for a 2013 armed robbery on a pharmacy in Middlebury.

Christopher Hornbeck, 25, was arrested without incident at his home in Shoreham, VT, when confronted by members of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Middlebury Police Department, the Vermont State Police (New Haven Barracks) and the Addison County Sheriff’s Department.

In July of 2013, a male suspect, later identified as Hornbeck, committed an armed robbery with a handgun at the Marble Works Pharmacy in Middlebury, VT. On July 18, 2019, VT Superior Judge Alison Arms signed a $1,000,000.00 bail arrest warrant for Hornbeck. The offenses on the arrest warrant include felony assault and robbery with a weapon, two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon and petit larceny.

On Aug. 15, 2019, the Middlebury Police Department requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service in locating and apprehending Hornbeck.

Hornbeck has a criminal history that includes narcotics and vehicle infractions.

Hornbeck’s arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative efforts by the U.S. Marshals Service, Middlebury Police Department, Vermont State Police (New Haven) and the Addison County Sheriff’s Department.
