U.S. Marshals Locate Missing Child, Amber Alert Cancelled

Del Rio, TX - A child missing for a month was recovered by members of the U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star and North Texas Fugitive Task Force Wednesday.

Betsabe Perez, 13, was located safe and sound at approximately 10:30 a.m. today in Fort Worth, Texas. Her family reported her missing on Sept. 9.

The search for Perez was a cooperative effort between the Texas Department of Public Safety, Criminal Investigations Division, the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals.

The Lone Star and North Texas Fugitive Task Forces are comprised of local, state, and federal law enforcement partners, and focus on the location and apprehension of violent offenders, non-compliant sex offenders, and critically endangered missing children.
