Escaped Juvenile Captured by U.S. Marshals Task Force

Memphis, TN - U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of a male juvenile who had escaped from the Wilder Youth Development Center in Somerville, Tennessee.

The seventeen year old juvenile who was captured was being held at that facility for four counts of Aggravated Robbery. He escaped on June 23, 2021 along with two other juveniles. He was captured without incident in the early morning hours of June 24 near the 3200 block of Ridgeway.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force continues to search for the other two juveniles, who were being held on charges including homicide.

“We are working diligently to locate and safely arrest the other two escaped juveniles," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
