Memphis, TN - U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Alfred Robinson, 28, for First Degree Murder and Chekora Momon, 22, for Facilitation of First Degree Murder.
On April 27, 2021, Adrian Benson was shot and killed near the 1080 block of S. Parkway E., Memphis, Tennessee. Another individual was shot and suffered non-fatal injuries.
Warrants were issued for the arrests of Alfred Robinson for First Degree Murder and his sister, Chekora Momon for Facilitation of First Degree Murder. Robinson was also wanted for Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Employment of a Firearm with Intent to Commit a Felony. Additionally, Momon was wanted for Facilitation of Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder.
The case was adopted for a fugitive investigation by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force. Working in conjunction with the Multi-Agency Gang Unit and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Task Force was able to develop locations for both fugitives.
On Nov. 30, Momon was found at an address near the 1200 block of Englewood and taken into custody without incident. Robinson was found at a separate location in south central Memphis. He was also taken into custody without incident.
“Our relationships with our local partners are vital to the ongoing success we have in safely arresting violent fugitives," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “It creates outcomes that are beneficial to all parties."
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
