Washington, D.C. -On July 24 and 25, 2019, the Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy, led by Chairman Raja Krishnamoorthi, will hold hearings to examine JUUL Labs, Inc.’s responsibility for the youth nicotine addiction epidemic.

The hearings will feature research experts, parents, and two representatives from JUUL Labs - including the co-founder.

PURPOSE & BACKGROUND

The hearings will build on the Subcommittee’s investigation into JUUL’s role in the youth nicotine addiction epidemic, marketing to youth, misleading health claims, and new partnerships with traditional tobacco companies.
