Oversight and Reform Committee Organizes for the 117th Congress

Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, the Chairwoman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, issued the following statement after the Committee held its organizational meeting for the 117th Congress and selected Subcommittee Chairs and the Committee’s Vice Chair:

“These unprecedented times make the work of this Committee more important than ever. The Members of this Committee know the gravity of our work and accept the great responsibility before us. I am incredibly proud of what the Committee accomplished in the 116th Congress, and I look forward to the work we will accomplish this Congress. We will continue to conduct vigorous, rigorous oversight to protect the interests of the American people."

Chair of the Subcommittee on National Security-Rep. Stephen F. Lynch

Chair of the Subcommittee on Government Operations-Rep. Gerald E. Connolly

Chair of the Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy-Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi

Chair of the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties-Rep. Jamie Raskin

Chair of the Subcommittee on Environment-Rep. Ro Khanna

Vice Chair of the Committee-Rep. Jimmy Gomez

The Committee also adopted its rules for the 117th Congress, which remain unchanged from the 116th Congress.
