Sen. Ron Wyden issued the following statement today on the Commerce Department’s preliminary determination that Chinese solar manufacturers are receiving illegal subsidies:
"Today’s strong decision by the Department of Commerce with respect to solar equipment confirms what U.S. solar manufacturers have long known: that Chinese solar producers benefit from illegal government subsidies that disadvantage and harm American producers," said Wyden. "The investigation and determination by the Department of Commerce is an important step toward ensuring a level playing field for American solar manufacturers and the jobs they support."
