Hatch Announces Finance Committee Nomination Hearing

WASHINGTON - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, to consider the nomination of David J. Kautter to serve as U.S. Treasury Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy. The hearing will take place at 11 a.m. in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

“David Kautter’s decades of experience as a tax counsel at one of the nation’s leading accounting firms, professor at American University’s business school and legislative director on Capitol Hill make him a well-rounded nominee to serve as U.S. Treasury Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy," Hatch said. “This hearing will provide members with the opportunity to learn first-hand how Mr. Kautter will work with Congress to advance pro-growth tax reform that will grow the economy, provide relief for middle-class families, and enhance America’s competitiveness around the globe."
