Hatch Announces Finance Committee Nominations Hearing

WASHINGTON - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, to consider a number of pending nominations. The hearing will take place at 10 a.m. in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

The following nominees are scheduled to testify:

Gilbert B. Kaplan, of the District of Columbia, to be Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, United States Department of Commerce, vice Stefan M. Selig, resigned; and

Matthew Bassett, of Tennessee, to be an Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services, United States Department of Health and Human Services, vice Jim R. Esquea; and

*

Robert Charrow, of Maryland, to be General Counsel of Health and Human Services, United States Department of Health and Human Services, vice William B. Schultz.
