Hatch Announces Hearing on Reforming Business Tax Code

WASHINGTON - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, to examine ways to improve the U.S. tax code’s business provisions and create a healthier economic environment that will encourage job creators to invest in the United States and increase their competitiveness in the global market. The hearing, entitled, “Business Tax Reform" will take place at 10 a.m. in Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room 215.

“There are a variety of changes in the tax code that can be made to help shift the economic landscape and create fertile ground for businesses to invest and hire new workers here at home," Hatch said. “Next week, we will hear from experts about policy options that have the potential to boost economic growth and give American businesses the tools they need to create and retain higher-paying American jobs and stay competitive in today’s global economy."
