Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued a statement following the announcement by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) that the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) would pursue numerous projects that threaten health care for seniors and vulnerable Americans.
“Today the Trump Administration started an end-run around the democratic process to radically change seniors’ Medicare and raise their health costs," Wyden said. “Beginning down this treacherous path is a clear sign that Secretary Price is betraying Donald Trump’s campaign promise not to touch Medicare or Medicaid and instead pursue his ideological goals at the expense of vulnerable Americans."
