Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today released the following statement in response to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s letter to Chairman Richard Neal, D-Mass., regarding his request for President Donald Trump’s tax returns under Section 6103 of the tax code:
“Secretary Mnuchin is breaking the law each day he fails to comply with Chairman Neal’s request for President Trump’s tax returns. This administration is defying legitimate congressional oversight at every turn, and I support the House of Representatives using all legal tools to force this administration to follow the law."
