Washington, D.C. - Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today helped advance the nominations of two key Biden administration nominees, who will serve at the U.S. Department of Commerce. The nominations will head to the floor for final confirmation.
“These are roles with a clear focus on creating good jobs and opportunities for American workers by getting trade done right," Wyden said. “I’m confident that Ms. Lago and Ms. Wang will both have a lot of success."
The Honorable Maria Louise Lago, nominated to be Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, was approved by a vote of 27-1.
Lisa W. Wang, nominated to be an Assistant Secretary of Commerce, was approved by a vote of 27-1.
