The Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy confirmed the winners of the 2022 ENERGY STAR Awards.
The winners consisted of organizations in the EPA Region 8 states of Colorado, South Dakota and Utah, according to a May 5 EPA news release. The winners were derived from 37 states and covered a wide range of industries.
“We know it’s going to take all of us working together to tackle the climate crisis, and the 2022 ENERGY STAR award-winning partners are demonstrating what it takes to build a more sustainable future," EPA Administrator Michael Regan said in the release. "These companies are showing once again that taking action in support of a clean energy economy can be good not only for the environment, but also for business and customers."
Other EPA officials praised the companies as well, according to the release.
“EPA congratulates these businesses for contributing to cleaner air, cleaner energy and stronger economies in the communities where they work," EPA Regional Administrator K.C. Becker said in the release. “Our ENERGY STAR awardees in Colorado, South Dakota and Utah continue to demonstrate leadership in delivering products and services that make it easier for people save money and protect our environment."
