Levin Welcomes Returning Members to Ways and Means Committee

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Dec. 12, 2012. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) today made the following statement welcoming three returning members to the Ways and Means Committee in the 113th Congress:

“I am very pleased to welcome back Reps. Allyson Schwartz, Danny K. Davis and Linda Sánchez to the Ways and Means Committee. They rejoin Ways and Means at a vital moment for the future of so many of the issues in our jurisdiction and I know that their deep policy expertise and active leadership will prove invaluable as we confront a myriad of challenges in the 113th Congress. I would also note that while Rep. Chris Van Hollen stays as the Ranking Member of the Budget Committee, he retains his seniority and through his active, direct participation in all our discussions we will continue to benefit from his policy expertise on issues within the jurisdiction of the Ways and Means Committee."
