Camp Statement on Individual Mandate Coverage Requirement Delay

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Oct. 28, 2013. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, DC - Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) released the following statement after the Obama Administration announced it would delay the ObamaCare coverage requirement.

“This is just another day and another Administrative delay of a key part of the healthcare law. Sooner or later, the Administration needs to admit the law is unworkable - people don’t have access to health plans, they cannot compare coverage options and the true cost is often underreported or completely hidden. So, while big business got a one-year pass from the President, American workers are only getting a six-week reprieve. This simply isn’t fair, and it’s time for the Obama Administration to do for average Americans what it did for big business - hit the pause button for a full year."
