WASHINGTON, DC - Ways and Means Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) today issued the following statement ahead of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA):

“No Americans should ever have to face discrimination in their daily lives. For 25 years, the Americans with Disabilities Act has helped provide that protection at home, in the workplace, and in the community for individuals with disabilities. This groundbreaking civil rights law has broken down barriers and helped ensure that everyone has an opportunity to grasp the American Dream. Families all across our country have seen the ADA working every day, and we have a responsibility in Congress to make sure this law continues to stand up for all Americans into the future."
