WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5430, Legislation to implement the Agreement between the United States of America, the United Mexican States, and Canada attached as an Annex to the Protocol Replacing the North American Free Trade Agreement:

“Today is a momentous day for America’s economy, workers, environment, and families. With the House’s passage of implementing legislation for the vastly improved, enforceable version of the USMCA, we replace a deeply flawed trade deal and set enhanced standards for all future U.S. trade agreements to build upon. Now, the Senate must do its job and pass this landmark bill in short order."
