Brady Praises Senate Introduction of Lower Costs, More Cures Act in Senate

WASHINGTON, DC - Ways and Means Republican Leader Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after members of the Senate introduced key elements of H.R. 19, the “Lower Costs, More Cures" Act, all of whose provisions are bipartisan and would lower drug costs for Americans without limiting access to cures:

“We offered the ‘Lower Costs, More Cures’ Act because we knew that it would have momentum in both chambers, support from both parties, and could be signed into law," said Brady. “I commend my Senate colleagues for taking this important step towards a real, meaningful reform that will ensure greater access to affordable cures. We can provide the relief-and the medicines-Americans so desperately need."

The “Lower Costs, More Cures" Act was introduced in early December by Ways and Means Committee Republican Leader Kevin Brady (R-TX), Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Greg Walden (R-OR), Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC), and Judiciary Committee Republican Leader Doug Collins (R-GA).
