WASHINGTON - The top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement following President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency in the wake of the novel coronavirus:
“President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency is a call to action for all public officials to put aside politics and put forward policies that protect families and prevent economic harm. The Administration’s continued hard work is getting tests to those who need them at no cost, providing economic relief to families and small businesses, and unleashing the American spirit of innovation and community. All members of Congress must work with President Trump and his Administration to get the American people what they need."
