Neal Statement on 2020 Medicare and Social Security Trustees Reports

SPRINGFIELD, MA - Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement on the 2020 Medicare Trustees Report and 2020 Social Security Trustees Report:

“The COVID-19 crisis has illuminated just how vital government programs like Social Security and Medicare are for Americans. In emergencies and during more stable times, millions of families rely on these earned benefits to access health care and maintain economic security. Democrats know the value of these lifelines, and we will continue to defend them against Republican attacks and work to strengthen them for generations to come."
