Brady: August Jobs Blowout Helps Workers, Beats Expectations

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Sept. 4, 2020. It is reproduced in full below.

The Woodlands, TX-Ways and Means Republican Leader Kevin Brady (R-TX) issued the following statement on the August jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

“With 1.4 million new jobs in the August jobs report, we have recovered nearly half of the jobs lost at the lowest point of the pandemic in March. A fourth consecutive month of job growth combined with a two year high in U.S. manufacturing is good news for American workers, despite Speaker Pelosi’s irresponsible efforts to sabotage the economy. I urge Speaker Pelosi to focus on bipartisan efforts to help workers and families and stop her political games."
