WASHINGTON, DC--On Sept. 17, 2020, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) announced a Request for Information (RFI) soliciting input from stakeholders in the medical community on the misuse of race within clinical care.

The Committee’s RFI followed a series of letters that Chairman Neal wrote to professional societies on Sept. 3, 2020, and throughout the fall of 2020, calling on the organizations to partner with the Ways and Means Committee in addressing the longstanding racial inequities in our society and requesting their perspectives on a series of questions related to clinical tools used in their area of unique medical expertise.
