WASHINGTON, DC- Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement praising President-elect Biden’s selection of Shalanda Young to serve as Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB):

“Shalanda is a terrific choice to help lead OMB and implement President-elect Biden’s agenda during these uniquely challenging times. She has handled one of the toughest jobs on Capitol Hill with great skill and poise, and I’ve always appreciated her commitment to uplifting families and workers through the appropriations process.
