Neal, Pascrell Applaud IRS for Tireless Work Distributing Stimulus Checks

WASHINGTON, DC-Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) and Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ) released the following statement applauding the Internal Revenue Service’s work sending out the stimulus checks and supplemental payments to Americans in need:

“Millions of Americans are depending on these direct stimulus payments, and we are glad to hear that veterans and their beneficiaries will be receiving their $1,400 checks today. Thanks to the long hours and hard work of the public servants at the Internal Revenue Service, Americans have received the financial assistance they so desperately need," said the Chairmen. "The tireless commitment of employees throughout the agency to the American people will bring long-awaited aid to those in need."
