SPRINGFIELD, MA-Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement applauding the second 2022 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters final rule announced by the Biden Administration:
“This move by the Biden Administration is the kind of leadership that we have been sorely lacking the last four years, and is so necessary in the midst of a global pandemic. Out-of-pocket costs will be up to $400 less for some Americans, and now, it will be even easier for consumers to enroll in high-quality affordable health coverage through the ACA Marketplaces. Further, I’m thrilled that laid off workers won’t have to worry about gaps in their coverage later this year because of the new special enrollment period made available by the Administration. These actions provide important protections for American families and are a key first step to reverse efforts by the last Administration to sabotage our health care system. I look forward to working with the Biden Administration to build on what we accomplished in the American Rescue Plan and to continue expanding access and reducing out-of-pocket costs for American families."
