WASHINGTON - Today, Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, issued statements on the White House nomination of Alexis Taylor for USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs and Stacy Dean for USDA Under Secretary for Food Nutrition and Consumer Services.

“As Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs, Director Taylor will help our farmers access new and expanded export markets for the things they grow and raise," Chairwoman Stabenow. “Senator Boozman and I urged the White House to prioritize filling this position earlier this spring and look forward to reviewing Director Taylor’s nomination."

“As Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services, Ms. Dean will work to ensure Americans and their families can put healthy food on the table," said Chairwoman Stabenow. “It’s a critical role and one Ms. Dean is very qualified to serve in. I look forward to reviewing her nomination."
